Hey everyone!
Actually I'm just writing this journal to thank all the people (more than 100 people, dayum) that gave me their wellwishes for my birthday. For some reason plenty already gratulated me way before my birthday. Idk. Is that normal in america? In germany it's considered bad luck^^. Not that I believe that though.
So yeah. I unfortunately don't have the time to thank each and everyone individually so I hope you don't hate me too much for being so pragmatic.
Many asked whether I had a nice day and just to answer that yeah I did.
I had Mene and friends over for a visit and we just hung out a bit. Caught up on things because some of them I haven't seen for half a year. We weren't done talking when everyone had to leave so we immediately sheduled another date with everyone on saturday c: .
So yeah. Sorry to everyone who posted on my frontpage or sent a note my way that included more than well wishes. Feel free to repeat whatever question or topic you had within this journal and I'll reply as normal.

dA is not out to get you
I think a lot of people are currently misunderstanding the situation. Staff has repeatedly reassured us that "DeviantArt did not, does not, and will not use deviations submitted to DeviantArt to add to third-party AI models or training sets, or on DreamUp itself." so I don't know where people (even some very popular artists) are getting the idea that dA is feeding our artwork into their AI from? As it stands currently on the entirety of the world wide web (not just dA) you accept the fact that people can take your artwork and feed it into their AI learning as soon as you upload it to a publicly accessible platform. It's an unfortunate truth but taking peoples artwork without consent and training an algorithm with it is not (yet) illegal. What dA did with the new little checkmark is give us a tool to tell AI programmers that we do NOT want them to use our artwork for their machine learning. That is an improvement to how the situation was before where such a tool simply didn't exist.
